== VN11 GSC register corruption causing board to not power until battery removed
Issue:
* When an unpowered JTAG adapter is attached to the JTAG connector on a board (plugged into the 10-pin header but the adapter's USB is not attached to anything) the GSC is held in a 'debug' state where code execution does not function properly. When coupled with IMX software that performs an I2C bus recovery attempt on a failed transaction when the JTAG adapter's USB is plugged in and the GSC starts running it will get out of sync with the IMX I2C master and end up writing 0xff's to the GSC registers at 0x20 causing the GSC to put the board to sleep (disable the boards primary power supply) without the possibility of a wakeup event. At this point removing the GSC battery temporarily will reset the GSC to get out of this state. The state will not occur if not using a JTAG adapter or when properly using a JTAG adapter that is connected to a USB host before plugging it in to the SBC.

Resolution:
* The GW16099 JTAG adapter is being revised to avoid erroneously putting the GSC into the 'debug' state when not USB bus powered (GW16099-J.1 and newer). Additionally a GSC firmware update 'v67' has been created which will allow the GSC to run properly when in this 'debug' state so that an updated JTAG adapter is not needed and users do not have to worry about accidentally ending up in this state.
